East Clare Equestrian Centre stages the final home indoor international fixture this weekend but the Horsepower Indoor League title has already been decided.

Tom Slattery, who made it a double when taking the outdoor league award for the second year, heads the indoor leaderboard by 11 points going into Sunday's £3,500 Castle Carriages Grand Prix and cannot be beaten.

Once again, sheer consistency from Micháel McKeigue's stallion Coille Mór Hill, has earned another national title form the Galwayman who also had five outdoor wins on the way to the summer's Isuzu title.

Slattery's closest rival, Cian O'Connor, Leading International Rider at last weekend in Cavan, is 11 points behind Slattery and with only 10 points available to the winner of each leg, cannot threaten the leader.

Third on the league table are Lt. David O'Brien and Boherdeal Clover, the partnership that took last weekend's Aer Rianta Grand Prix title at Cavan, but they are 15 points behind so Slattery can be assured or the £3,000 Horsepower League winner-takes-all purse.

This is the fourth running of the East Clare International Show and it has again attracted a strong squad of British contenders including Andrew Davies who won the Millstreet round of the World Cup series with Captain Wellington.
