The Lawrencetown Walking track was opened in October 2020 and has proved a very welcome addition to the village.  The track is a 0.5km loop located to the back of the National school and circling the Multi Use Games All weather (MUGA) pitch and parking lot. This creates an ideal opportunity for parents dropping off or collecting their kids to fit in a quick walk or run. 

The location off the main road provides a safe and enjoyable experience when walking with children. The track is fully lit meaning you can still get a walk in the darker evenings.  Since it has opened it has been a hive of activity with people of all ages making full use of it. Runners walkers, families, friends, grandparents, children, buggies, and dogs are a regular sight.

The track itself has remained litter free reflecting of the pride of its users.  Talk has been heard of a family of fairies wishing to move to the verge surrounding the track. It is anticipated fairy houses will soon appear among the hedgerows.
